Testing methods for low-temperature argon storage tanks  - Doer Equipment

The welding seam inspection of the storage tank container is first conducted with 100% radiographic testing (RT), followed by penetration inspection, air pressure test, and airtightness test. Finally, a "helium mass spectrometer leak detector" is used to perform helium mass spectrometry leak detection on each welding seam and joint.

The contents of the storage tank are cleaned as a whole, and the cleanliness is treated according to oxygen standards. It is also tested by an ultraviolet lamp to ensure that there is no oil or other organic impurities.

The time interval between the cleaning and drying of the contents of the storage tank and the assembly of the outer container is less than 3 hours to prevent dust and other organic impurities from entering and ensure the cleanliness of the contents and the jacket.

The outer container of the storage tank shall undergo 20% radiographic testing (RT) for the weld seam inspection, followed by air tightness testing and helium leak detection for the interlayer.

The inner and outer surfaces of the outer container of the storage tank are sandblasted to meet the requirements of Sa2.5a standard.

After the steel plate surface turns metallic, the dust adhering to the surface is completely removed through a vacuum cleaner to ensure the stability of the vacuum degree inside the interlayer; The finished paint film on the outer surface of the storage tank is dense, firm, and reliable. The dry film thickness of the paint is greater than 200 µ m, ensuring that it does not fade for at least 3 years.
