1Liquid inlet and purging system

1. Liquid inlet system: liquid ethylene sent from ethylene liquefaction unit or unloading platform is sent to ethylene storage tank for storage through low-temperature process pipeline, and can be fed through top liquid inlet pipeline or bottom liquid inlet pipeline. Both top liquid inlet pipeline and bottom liquid inlet pipeline shall be equipped with remote-controlled emergency shut-off valves.

2. Purging system: the normal temperature and low pressure nitrogen sent from the process unit area enters the main vessel through the purging ring pipeline set in the main vessel, enters the thermal insulation layer at the bottom of the storage tank through the nitrogen purging pipeline of the bottom thermal insulation layer, and enters the submersible pump well through the purging pipeline of the submersible pump to ensure the air replacement at all corners of the storage tank and the drying of the internal thermal insulation materials. A nitrogen purging exhaust pipeline is set at the top of the secondary vessel A purge exhaust pipe is set in the bottom insulation layer, and an annular exhaust pipe is set in the interlayer space to exhaust the replacement air during purging.

2Tank drain and return system

1. Liquid outlet of storage tank (gasification or loading): the storage tank is provided with two submersible pumps, and the discharge pipe of the submersible pump is provided with a remote low-temperature cut-off valve and an ethylene orifice flowmeter, as well as a return line behind the pump. After the discharge pipe of each pump column is led out, a check valve and a root stop valve are installed respectively, and then the discharge pipe is summarized (one orifice flowmeter and one low-temperature cut-off valve are installed on the discharge pipe).

2. The submersible pump is provided with a return line after the pump, and a low-temperature regulating valve is provided on the return main line after the pump, which serves as the starting line of the submersible pump.
